Four-Day FDP on Curricular Reforms in Physiotherapy - 2026

The Four-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Curricular Reforms in Physiotherapy commenced on 07 February 2026 at Sri Venkateswarraa University, College of Physiotherapy, conducted in online mode from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The programme aimed to strengthen academic practices in physiotherapy education through structured curricular reforms, assessment strategies, and quality clinical training models. Academic leaders welcomed international experts, setting a professional and collaborative tone for the sessions.

Day 1 featured expert sessions by international speakers focusing on improving clinical education and examination strategies. Dr. Alagappan Thiyagarajan from MAHSA University emphasized quality-driven clinical postings, mentorship-based learning, reflective practice, and outcome-focused training to enhance student competency. Participants gained insights into global clinical education standards and evidence-based approaches that support curriculum enhancement.

The second session, delivered by Dr. Kumaraguruparan Gopal of Gulf Medical University, explored exam blueprint mapping aligned with modern educational frameworks. The session highlighted outcome-based assessment, transparency, and reliability in evaluation systems. Interactive discussions allowed participants to clarify concepts and reflect on applying blueprinting and clinical quality improvements in their institutions, establishing a strong academic foundation for the remaining FDP sessions.
