International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
The program was conducted to observe the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, focusing on raising awareness about gender-based violence. Students performed a role play portraying domestic abuse, workplace harassment, and social discrimination, followed by a seminar discussing causes and consequences of violence, legal rights, and the role of educational institutions. The event encouraged participants to take collective action toward creating a safe and respectful environment for women.
The awareness program highlighted the seriousness of violence against women through a thoughtful role play presented by students. It depicted various real-life situations that women commonly face and emphasized the need for support, empathy, and early intervention to prevent such incidents.
A seminar followed the performance, offering insights into the legal protections available for women and stressing the importance of educational institutions in fostering a safe atmosphere. Participants were motivated to advocate for a society free from discrimination, abuse, and gender-based harm.
