Awareness Program - International Day For The Elimination Of Violence Against Women 2025
The College of Allied Health Science organized an awareness programme on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women 2025, focusing on the theme "Unite To End Digital Violence Against All Women And Girls". The event addressed the growing concerns of online harassment and technology-facilitated abuse, emphasizing the importance of creating safe digital environments.
Students performed a powerful skit portraying real-life digital abuse scenarios and highlighting the emotional, social, and psychological impacts of online violence. The performance encouraged early recognition, bystander intervention, and seeking timely support.
A student-made short film was screened to illustrate how digital violence begins and escalates, along with guidance on reporting mechanisms and responsible digital conduct. The programme promoted meaningful dialogue and reinforced the collective responsibility to protect women and girls in digital spaces.
