Youth Red Cross Review Meeting - 2026
A Youth Red Cross (YRC) Review Meeting for University Coordinators and District Organisers was held on September 25, 2026, at the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Tamil Nadu State Branch, Egmore, Chennai. Dr. E. Susithra, University YRC Programme Coordinator, Sri Venkateswaraa University, participated in the meeting along with University Coordinators and District Organisers.
The meeting reviewed YRC activities and explored measures to strengthen coordination, student participation, community outreach, blood donation initiatives, training, documentation, and institutional recognition for the 2026-2027 academic year. Discussions also covered standardised certificates and reporting formats, centralised online documentation, academic recognition and credit mechanisms, and special leave or on-duty provisions.
Further deliberations addressed recognition of YRC credentials along with incentives and awards for YRC functionaries, supporting greater institutional engagement in humanitarian activities. The meeting reaffirmed the role of Youth Red Cross in developing socially responsible students through community service, health-related initiatives, and youth participation, contributing to stronger humanitarian outreach and community development.
