Zero Waste Week Celebration - 2026
Sri Venkateswaraa Nursing College celebrated Zero Waste Week 2026 on 9th September 2026, promoting awareness of sustainable practices and responsible waste management. The programme was organised around the theme "Zero Waste, Zero Landfill: Rethink, Reduce, Reuse & Recycle."
The initiative encouraged students and the academic community to understand the importance of reducing waste, reusing resources, and adopting effective recycling practices. The programme also highlighted the connection between environmental responsibility, public health, and the creation of cleaner and healthier communities.
The celebration aligned with SDG Goal 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, encouraging sustainable consumption patterns and environmentally conscious practices. Through such awareness initiatives, students are inspired to make responsible choices that support environmental sustainability and contribute to a healthier future for society.
