Hogwarts IGNITE 2K26 - Physiotherapy Sports Excellence
The College of Physiotherapy, Sri Venkateswaraa University, proudly participated in Hogwarts IGNITE 2K26, a two-day Sports and Cultural Fest organized by the Saveetha Institute of Basic Medical Sciences at the Sri Ramachandra University campus. Twenty BPT students represented SVU in Cricket, Futsal, Volleyball, Kho-Kho and Carrom, demonstrating teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership while balancing academic excellence with athletic participation.
The event offered an excellent platform for undergraduate physiotherapy students to enhance communication, collaboration and leadership skills through competitive sports. Students actively participated in indoor and outdoor events, promoting physical fitness, discipline and professional sportsmanship while interacting with participants from various institutions.
The major achievement came in the Carrom competition, where Mr. Kunalan and Mr. Dhanush from BPT IV Year secured 1st and 2nd place respectively. They were honoured with certificates and trophies in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Principal. The overall experience motivated SVU Physiotherapy students to continue excelling in future inter-collegiate sports events while strengthening confidence, teamwork and personal development.
