Glimpses of SRIHER 2K26 - State Level Sports Tournament
The College of Physiotherapy, Sri Venkateswaraa University, proudly participated in SRIHER 2K26, the 8th State Level Inter-Paramedical Tournament held from 18th to 21st February 2026 at Sri Ramachandra University Campus, Chennai. A team of 12 undergraduate students represented the institution in Carrom and Cricket, demonstrating teamwork, discipline, leadership and sportsmanship while competing with participants from leading paramedical institutions across the state.
The tournament provided an excellent opportunity for students to develop confidence, communication skills, leadership qualities and physical fitness beyond academics and clinical training. The competitive environment encouraged collaboration, resilience and professional networking while promoting the importance of balancing healthcare education with sports and wellness.
A proud achievement for the College of Physiotherapy came through Mr. Dhanush and Mr. Kunalan, BPT IV Year VII Semester, who secured First Prize in the Carrom event and were honoured with gold medals and merit certificates. Their outstanding performance reflected the dedication, perseverance and sporting excellence nurtured at Sri Venkateswaraa University.
