Advanced Ankle Rehabilitation Guest Lecture
The College of Physiotherapy, Sri Venkateswaraa University, organized a Guest Lecture on 'Advanced Ankle Rehabilitation' on 12-02-2026 to strengthen students' understanding of evidence-based sports and orthopaedic physiotherapy. The programme focused on structured rehabilitation, early functional recovery, and safe return-to-sport strategies for ankle injuries.
The expert session was delivered by Dr. Vinodhkumar Ramalingam, Professor and Head, Saveetha College of Physiotherapy, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai. He explained the evidence-based progression of ankle rehabilitation from immobilization to functional recovery and sports-specific training, emphasizing clinical reasoning, rehabilitation protocols, outcome measures, and return-to-play criteria.
The interactive lecture enabled BPT students to enhance their clinical knowledge through discussions on injury prevention, rehabilitation planning, and functional assessment.
