MBBS full form is  Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is a 5 year undergraduate medical degree that is pursued by students who aspire to become doctors. Preparing for an MBBS degree requires utmost dedication and hard work so candidates should be prepared for the challenges. The minimum eligibility criteria for the MBBS course is to pass higher secondary with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The compulsory MBBS subjects include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the 10+2 level. At the end of the 5th year of MBBS, candidates need to undergo 6 months internship period in order to complete the course. In India, a total of 91, 927 MBBS seats are available, of which 48% (43,915) and 52% (48,012) are Government College and Private College seats, respectively. 

In order to get admission to MBBS programmes, students need to pass the NEET UG exam which is conducted once every year at the national level. The minimum age of candidates before applying for an MBBS degree must be 17 years. The syllabus of MBBS is divided into pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical subjects like immunity, general pathology, introduction to medical practice, microbiology, etc. The coursework is spread across 9 semesters.
