The sprawling 102 Acres campus at Ettayapuram is the main campus of Sri Venkateswaraa University. The Campus began its academic activity by launching BSc (Hons) Agriculture Programfor the Academic Year 2022-23.

ABOUT OUR COURSE

The primary aim of the B.Sc in Anaesthesia Technology course is to provide students with the expertise, use and control of anaesthetic products. The course provides theoretical and realistic approaches to help the students to become competent anaesthesiologists and use their skills at the time of operation. An anaesthetic technician is a medical professional who works along with doctors and nurses in operating theatres and operating stations. Those pursuing B.Sc Anaesthesia Technology, learn how to use anaesthesia tools, the procedures of anaesthesia, the correct dosage for anaesthesia, patient tracking, etc. Under B.Sc in Anaesthesia Technology students also gain an understanding of the required equipment and the dosage of the anaesthetic that should be offered to the patients. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology also teaches students about the basic concepts of operation theatres, emergency departments and the ICU. The class also involves both theory and practicals.

Career opportunities

It’s a difficult and exciting career. In India and abroad there is a wide range of jobs available for anaesthesia technology. Skilled anaesthesia technology graduates may pursue jobs in both private and government hospitals. Anaesthetic technicians are highly hired in anaesthesia departments or theatre suites. Anaesthetic technicians can also work in Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and Clinical Operations. After graduation with a B.Sc. In anaesthesia technology, students may also take higher degrees, such as M.Sc.
